Dr. Abdul Basit Fahim (حفظه الله) is a renowned Islamic scholar specializing in Quranic Tafseer, Hadith, Aqeedah, and Fiqh. He holds a doctorate from the Islamic University of Madinah, where he also earned his M.Phil and B.A. degrees. His M.Phil thesis, “Al-Qawa’id al-Tafsiriyyah anna Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah”, ranked first in Quranic sciences and was published in three volumes by the university. His Ph.D. thesis, “Al-Dhahir wa al-Mu’wal anna Ibn Taymiyyah”, is set to be published soon. 

During his time in Madinah, he studied under renowned scholars, including Dr. Ali Al-Tuwaijri (رحمه الله), who supervised both his M.Phil and Ph.D., Sheikh Abdul Mohsen Al-Ibad (رحمه الله), and Sheikh Sulaiman Al-Raheeli (رحمه الله).

In Pakistan, his mentors include Dr. Abdul Rashid Azhar, Dr. Yusuf Yaqoob, Sheikh Abdul Salam Kaylani, and Muhaddith Muhammad bin Abdullah Shujaabadi (رحمهم الله). 

For over a decade, Dr. Fahim taught as an Urdu Instructor at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, with his recorded lessons available through the mosque’s Recording Department. He also translated Sheikh Bin Baz’s treatise, “Drus Al-Muhammat Al-A’mat Al-Ummah”, and conducted educational tours across Saudi Arabia and the UAE. 

Currently based in Islamabad, Pakistan, he delivers weekly Friday sermons in Sir Syed Avenue, Rawalpindi. He teaches Islamic texts such as Kitab At-Tawheed, Usul Al-Talatha, Masail Al-Jahiliyyah, Aqeedah Al-Wastiyyah, and Umdat Al-Ahkam, with live broadcasts on YouTube and Facebook. Through Al-Athr Studio, he provides Sharia guidance and continues to deliver lectures and workshops nationwide.
